The first time I heard Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music I mentioned to a woman I knew ( who worked in the “Record Business”) that for all the discordance and Glam Rock costumes, to me, Bryan ferry sounded like a 20’s crooner who stumbled into a 70’s avant-garde band and took it over. She said to me ” I think he’d be happy to hear that”
All these years later some of his best songs are presented in just that format. It’s amazing how well they translate.
